My name is Christine A. Reed. I love writing and have had several articles published in magazines and around the Net. I created and ran a website for writers, E-Writers.net in the late 90s. I am pro-adoption. I have experience with issues related to foster care adoption and raising children that have been traumatized. I love stories. I love Christ, who saved me.
While I was organizing my site, I needed to distill my message to its simplest form. There are many things I’m interested in. There are many things I’d like to post about. No one thing is more important than Christ. I realized that everything else I do in life is affected by my love for Christ . I also realize that, “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” (Luke 6:45, NIV)
How I write, what I say, how I parent, when I show love — all of these things are also a reflection of what I am thinking, what I fill my mind and heart with. Am I filled with the love of Christ? Or, am I filling myself with other things? Before we throw everything out the window, how can we still do the things we love, but do them in a Christ-honoring way?
I think it starts with honest counsel and that counsel should be based in the Word of God.
